Changing Horses

Standard

Okay, not really changing horses, but changing something!  I just handed over my seat on the Mayne Island Early Childhood Society to a new person, a new board, a new set of hard-working people.  Hurrah!

I had to miss the watercolour painting group today in order to chair the AGM, but next week I’ll be there with my brushes, paper, paints and water.

I have given up my writing time each morning to thinking and phoning, writing and planning for this society.

Please do not misunderstand me.   I helped to start the society because I believed that the children here were worth my effort, that to provide programs that all the  families with young children and babies could feel happy with was worth working for.  I believed Mayne Island deserved a place where the young parents could come and feel welcome and accepted and understood and I was willing to make it happen.

So….I’m happy to hand the society over now because my work is DONE.

HURRAH!!  I love you all!

  1. Thank you! I just finished rewriting the first nine pages of my Mayne Island Aliens. The new-found energy is amazing.
